Loxley Farms is a home & beauty brand based out of a 125 year old farmhouse in Richmond, Virginia.

The identity draws inspiration from the 18th century farmhouse and embraces the beauty of raw, natural elements.

Logo
Drawing from heritage
The logo calls on a traditional idea of a monogram and use of a stem already found in the letterform.
Adobe Caslon was chosen for its heritage in mid 17th and 18th century typesetting and manufacturing, which neighbors close to the era of when the farmhouse was built.

Color
Rooting in the experience
The approach to color grounds in the experience of visiting the farmhouse. The exterior walls and shutters of the house formed the foundational color base of black and white, and additional color is always inspired by the vibrant flora and greenery on the farm.

The approach unearthed the natural environment of the farm into an identity set that equipped the brand to be ready for easy packaging and simple eCommerce site.
